Dr. Elisabeth Marsh, MD:

Dr. Marsh is a board-certified vascular neurologist whose research interests include post-stroke recovery and patient-centered outcomes. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins University where she continued her training for medical school, neurology residency, and cerebrovascular fellowship.  She is currently an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine within the Cerebrovascular Division.

Dr. Rafael Llinas, MD:

Dr. Llinas's initial training was in Neurology, followed by a fellowship in cerebrovascular disease during which he learned both cutting-edge imaging techniques as well as basic clinical evaluation and treatment. This unique combination has been extremely useful in not only his career, but also his ability to contribute and mentor clinical, imaging, and outcomes research work

Erin Lawrence, CRNP, SCRN:

Erin is the stroke coordinator for the comprehensive stroke program at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, continued her education at Notre Dame of Maryland where she got her Master of Science in Nursing, and completed her nurse practitioner program at Chamberlain University.

Dawn Merbach, CRNP, SCRN:

Dawn is the stroke nurse practitioner for the comprehensive stroke program at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. She graduated from Community College of Baltimore County – Essex with her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1998 and continued her education at Notre Dame of Maryland with her bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 2014 and nurse practitioner degree from Chamberlain University in 2020.


Isabella Dallasta, MA:

Isa began working in the lab in the summer of 2021 and has recently obtained an MA in Business Administration. She also has a degree in biology with chemistry and mathematics minors and is currently a Coordinator for the Marsh Lab.


Sarah Larson:

Sarah is a senior undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University and intends to graduate with a bachelor’s in Neuroscience. She became a member of Marsh ab in August of 2022 and has been cognitively testing patients in clinic to track stroke recovery. Sarah is currently a coordinator for the Marsh Lab.


Courtney Weglein:

Courtney joined the Marsh Lab as a Coordinator in the winter of 2024. She holds an MA in Secondary Education from Towson University and a BS in Biology from the University of Notre Dame, and she is currently pursuing an MPH. Her responsibilities include overseeing various lab projects, such as the investigation of digital biomarkers for vascular cognitive decline in stroke patients and the application of tDCS to improve post-stroke cognitive impairment. She manages participant screening and recruitment, as well as the onboarding and training of new lab members.


Shirlene John:

Shirlene is a senior at Johns Hopkins University as a double major in Neuroscience and Anthropology. She intends to graduate in May 2025.


Molly Zhao

Molly Zhao:

Molly joined the lab in the fall of 2022 and is currently an undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University. She is in her last year of her Neuroscience major and is minoring in economics.


Saahith Potluri, BS:

Saahith is in his fourth year as an undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University and plans to graduate with a bachelor’s in Neuroscience.


Autumn Brunson, BS:

Autumn graduated in May of 2021 from Tennessee State University with a BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology.


Sriesakthi Gowrisankar:

Sriesakthi attends Johns Hopkins University.


Ethan Oluwole:

Ethan is a senior pursuing his bachelors in Behavioral biology.


Sriya Vattipally:

Sriya is a in her junior year at Johns Hopkins University. She is majoring in Neuroscience and Public Health.


Grace Molano:

Grace is a junior at Johns Hopkins University and plans to graduate in May of 2026 with a bachelor’s in neuroscience.


Tanisha Mehrotra:

Tanisha joined the lab in May of 2024 and is a junior pursuing a majoring in neuroscience at Johns Hopkins


Jamie Cho:

Jamie is a junior year student at Johns Hopkins University. She is a Neuroscience and Public Health major.


Naomi Crane:

Naomi is a sophomore pursuing her bachelors in neuroscience with a minor in psychology.


Nicolas Rodriguez:

Nicolas is a junior at Johns Hopkins University majoring in neuroscience.


Brianna Piner:

Brianna attends Johns Hopkins University and is majoring in Cognitive Sciences with a minor in Psychology.


Viviana Li:

Viviana is a Junior at Johns Hopkins and plans to go to med school after graduation.

Lakshmi is a sophomore pursuing her bachelors in neuroscience.
